Arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport and meet your local representative. Transfer to the hotel and begin a city orientation covering Wat Phnom, the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. Continue to the riverside area around Sisowath Quay and enjoy time at leisure. Check in to the hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
After breakfast, visit the National Museum of Cambodia, home to an important collection of Khmer art and sculpture. Continue to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Choeung Ek Killing Fields for an introduction to Cambodia’s recent history. Return to the city and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
After breakfast, check out and travel to Siem Reap by domestic flight or private road transfer, depending on the selected arrangement. On arrival, check in to the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Old Market and Pub Street area, with time for local shopping and the atmosphere of central Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, begin the classic Angkor temple experience. Visit Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s iconic temple and one of the world’s great archaeological monuments. Continue to Angkor Thom, the ancient walled city, and visit Bayon Temple with its distinctive stone faces. Explore Ta Prohm, famous for its temple ruins and giant tree roots. Return to Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, explore the wider Angkor complex. Visit Banteay Srei, renowned for its intricate pink sandstone carvings. Continue with selected Grand Circuit temples such as Preah Khan, Neak Pean and Ta Som, subject to routing and time available. In the late afternoon, enjoy a sunset experience at a suitable permitted viewpoint. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, proceed to Tonle Sap Lake for a boat excursion through one of Southeast Asia’s most important freshwater ecosystems. Visit a floating or stilted village, depending on seasonal water levels and local operating conditions, and observe traditional lakeside life. Return to Siem Reap and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, enjoy a day beyond the main Angkor temples. Visit Phnom Kulen National Park, an important historical and spiritual site associated with the ancient Khmer Empire, including the riverbed carvings and waterfall, subject to seasonal and operating conditions. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara cultural performance with dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, check out. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy free time for shopping or relaxation. Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your onward journey. Your memorable Cambodia experience comes to an end.
